MORNSUN’s 6-40W R3 generation of railway DC/DC converters is ideally suitable for 72V, 96V and 110V railway electronic equipment such as monitoring systems, air-conditioning controllers and information displays.
These converters in the range include URA1D-YMD-6WR3 (dual output), URB1D-YMD-6WR3 (single output), URB1D-LMD-10WR3 (single output), URB1D-LMD-15WR3 (single output), URB1D-LMD-20WR3 (single output), URB1D-LD-20WR3 (single output), URE1D-LD-20WR3 (dual output) and URF-LD-40WR3 series (single output), offering power outputs of 6W, 10W, 15W, 20W and 40W.
The URA1D and URB1D series offer 2,250VDC isolation, while the URE1D and URF1D series offer 3,000VDC isolation. All models operate in temperature ranges from -40°C and 85°C and their electromagnetic interference (EMI) meets EN50121-3-2 standards without external components. A wide universal input voltage range of 40VDC to 160VDC is featured with single and dual output voltages of 3.3VDC, 5VDC, 12VDC, 15VDC, 24VDC, 48VDC, ±5VDC, ±12VDC ,±15VDC and ±24VDC, depending upon the series.
6W R3 railway DC/DC converters are supplied in a 1inx1in package. 10W, 15W, 20W and 40W are housed in a high-compatibility 2inx1in international standard package with two available pin-out positions inside or outside of the power converter.
A2S packages are also available for chassis mounting, or A4S packages for DIN-Rail mounting applications. Both options provide protection against polarity reversal. A heat sink is also available for improved thermal performance.
Featuring an optional heat sink and an output isolation of 3,000VDC, the URF1D series is also specialised for electronic equipment. The range includes the URF1D_QB-50W, URF1D_QB-75W, URF1D_QB-100W and URF1D_HB-150W series, which offer power outputs of 50W, 75W, 100W and 150W.
The URF1D_HB-150W series offers an input voltage range of 50VDC to 66VDC with output voltages of 12VDC (10,000mA), 15VDC (8,000mA) and 24VDC (5,000mA). Output voltages are 3.3VDC, 5VDC, 12VDC, 15VDC and 24VDC, while input voltage ranges from 66VDC-160VDC.
These converters have an operating temperature between -40°C and 100°C with up to 92% efficiency, and voltage, current and short circuit protection, as well as an EMI that meets CISPR22 / EN55022 Class B.
50W, 75W and 100W railway DC/DC converters are supplied in a 1/4 brick international standard package. 150W is housed in a 1/2 brick international standard package.
